Toyota Processing System (TPS ) is a philosophy that started in Toyota corporations and other motor vehicle manufacturing companies have systematically adopted it as quality process . TPS is based on two pillars namely just in time production and Jidoka where certain terms have been formed to help define TPS as used in different operations in the companies . TPS may

also be referred to as lean manufacturing and it emphasizes on quality production with the minimum resources possible to ensure efficiency and cost effectiveness . In other than motor vehicle manufacturing companies , TPS is applicable in other organizations simply because it involves identifying critical production areas in a company for constant assessments to ensure improved quality
