The Dilemmas in the Criminal Justice System

Introduction

Governance entails a lot of decision-makings and policy-settings that are not so easy to make . Some policymakers even reached in a crossroad of dilemmas - weighing the pros and cons just to cater the needs of every individual in the community

One of the policy formations that probably consume a lot of time and deep analysis is that of criminal justice system . It is not a hidden fact that peace and is the most essential factor that a community should have . It is one

of the driving factors (if not the only ) that makes every citizen gauge his /her choice of place where he /she can settle . A peaceful environment also plays a great role for the economic development of one place . It is the common denominator among investors in choosing an area where they will establish their businesses because for them , a peaceful place means people can walk around anytime of the day without the fear of any untoward incident that might happen to them or into their properties

But what is really the best manifestation of a peaceful environment In a logical cite , one can truly say that a peaceful place is wherein there is less crime volume as can be construed through trending of crime rates . Normally , a place an be categorized as generally peaceful when there is less crime volume and that occurring crime incidents can only be considered as isolated cases

It is in this regard that policymakers have to put extra special attention in the formulation of policies or laws that can help support for the maintenance of a peaceful and ly environment for the citizens . Policies should be set in a way that crimes will be

prevented to happen or in a manner that peace offenders should be penalized . It is in this reason that policies or laws are created in such a way to primarily go against those who dared disrupt the peace and situation of the community . In this manner , justice will also be served to those who were subjugated or victimized by the crime

Furthermore , criminal laws are not only set to punish the perpetrators and give credit to the victims . These laws were also created in to maintain and uphold a peaceful living environment which every human being deserves . These laws will serve as guide to what extent can an individual practice his /her freedom of will , and until to what limit does freewill become abusive and dangerous . Laws and the punishments that go with it if violated , as a matter of fact , can be traced since time immemorial . This is to prevent anarchism to happen and to discipline the people as well

Major crimes usually have the punishment of imprisonment where perpetrators are being isolated from the community for the presumption that they might cause further harm to the community . Accordingly , this imprisonment policy and the terms that go with it exemplify how disciplinary measures are being set...
