Abstract

At the event of the 9 /11 bombings , every detail pertaining to security has greatly evolved . From homeland to aviation and security as a nation as a people , and as individual , sensibilities are all threatened by fear and worry from re-occurrence of such horrible events . Hence counter-terrorist developments were placed to battle such menaces Various methods and measures of security have been established , but most are in pool of discussion and debate

. The issues of privacy versus the extent of surveillance are social and individual concerns which give people something to really think about - whether their phone calls can be traced , emails are read and everything else in between . The Foreign Intelligence Security Court seems to be of valuable necessity , but its powers are too broad which may cause social dangers - does the end justify the means ? Also , matters in the security in the aviation setting may both purposely or accidentally hit racial and religious nerves as people of various cultural and pious backgrounds and orientations are monitored . All these are under the wide-scoped umbrella of counter-terrorism and various discussions still last being that terrorism is a socio-political concern of almost all countries
