Chinese Revolution The Xinhai Revolution of 10th , October , 1911 that overthrew the Qing dynasty of China can be rightly identified as the true revolution . Armed revolutionaries composed of mainly young intellectuals and military recruits overthrew the emperor and established a republican government modeled on the American example . The rallying call for the revolutionaries was the removal of the Manchu dynasty and its replacement with members of the majority Han ethnic community . By failing to establish an

effective republic or initiate any meaningful land reform , the revolution can be said to have been a failure . By and large the Han community took over the positions held by the Manchu 's Corruption continued unabated and the living standards for most people remained the same or even worsened
2 . U .S . Senate Vote On The Treaty Of Versailles
President Wilson had been a key architect off the treaty of Versailles that marked the end of the 1st world war . He had delivered the treaty to the senate for ratification and hoped that they would comply However , after much debate the senate failed to adopt the treaty by a margin of 7 votes . The main sticking point was the requirement for signatories of the treaty to give military support in the event that one of them was attacked . By failing to ratify the document , the senate was in effect disregarding the president 's efforts to bring about peace in the world . It also showed the senate 's desire to pursue a policy of isolation rather than active participation in world affairs . Most of the senators voted along party lines instead of considering the bigger picture and what would have been in the best interests of the nation
3 . The Bolshevik revolution
The Bolshevik revolution of 25th , October , 1917 overthrew the provisional government that had been established following the deposing the Imperial Tsar in February of the same year . Peasants and the working classes supported the revolutionaries because they preached socialism and an end to exploitation of the masses . Promising a speedy end to the war , an egalitarian society and improved living conditions , the Bolsheviks stirred up the masses with their rhetoric . The revolution changed the social , economic and political landscape of the Soviet Union for more than seventy years and ushered in a communist lifestyle that was characterized by public ownership of the means of production
4 . New Deal
The new deal refers to the economic measures undertaken by President Roosevelt 's administration to revived the economy and pull it out of a recession . It focused on increased federal spending as a measure of boosting the supply of money . The government forged closer ties with the labor unions and contributed to the rise in their influence at the expense of corporate bodies .
