The United States Armed Forces which consists of men and women fighting and defending the country does so because of patriotism mainly related to the constitution of the land . The preamble of the constitution states that , "We the People of the United States , in to form a more perfect Union , establish Justice insure domestic Tranquility , provide for the common defense , promote the general Welfare , and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity , do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America (Preamble , US Constitution ) In this portion of the constitution one would easily notice that the US Armed forces play an important role in the establishment of what the preamble describes to be , `a perfect union .
