This is because it is necessary to perform an internal attribution like work performance for promotions and at the same time it is also relevant that the achievement of promotion is due to interactions in the workplace . Case 3 states that Indira decides to volunteer for a pet adoption agency . It has been mentioned that there is high consensus , high distinctiveness , and high consistency . On the same note it can be sated that this is a prime example of external and situation attribution . This is because volunteering for a pet adoption agency fundamentally requires the external influence that develops from the situation . This situation arises from an external scenario and is instrumental in influencing the cause and effect to the specified situation . This is the main aspect and this should be accountable .
