20th Century Worldview

Much like the different collective mindsets that preceded it , 20th century worldview was subject to the dynamics of geography , economics and political culture . Even when advances in technology and communications reached remarkable peaks in the 90s , specially in terms of the Internet and mobile communications , the borders that differentiate how - for example - a person raised in East Asia and another living in Western Europe thought about the world they live in and the respective roles they ought to play in it

- were real , strongly palpable , and extended their demarcating influence even now in 21st century

There is a dire need , therefore , to qualify the term 20th century worldview ' Even in non-spatial terms , the 20th century was characterized by global upheavals , technological leaps , and streams of thought that defined and were unique to each of the decades that comprised it : the airplane and the automobile , the telephone , two world wars , the rise and fall of Communism , computers and the Internet , and the globalization of both commerce and culture . For example , the hippies of the 60s ' do have strong ties with their grunge brethren in the 90s but there are also fundamental differences in their worldviews due to their unique experiences and the distinct global influencers during their respective periods . However , the subset of the 20th century worldviews that is certain to lend its momentum even in our time was formed by the realization of at least three facts that have been established...
