Christianity and Judaism : Similarities in Beliefs , Differences in Practices and Rituals

Religion plays an important role in the lives of individuals . One of the main benefits of religion is that it provides the necessary security for people in a world that is full of uncertainty . Being the case , it is necessary that the study of religion is given due importance , especially in knowing the respective similarities and differences . In line with this two of the major religions in

the world , namely Christianity and Judaism will be discussed in to show that these religions have almost the same belief but differ in its rituals and practices

Christianity and Judaism have the same origin because both of these religions developed in Palestine . The principle law of Christianity and Judaism is also similar because these are based on obedience to God as well as on the rules and regulation of the respective religious ideologies . Being faithfully committed to the religion or being a good follower is also necessary in both religions , especially since the fulfillment of the will of God is recognized as the primary duty of Jews and Christians . In relation to this , Christianity and Judaism have the same belief when it comes to the concept of having one God , who is characterized as holy , righteous , and just .
