E-mail vs . Snail Mail

Communication is the process wherein an individual or society exchanges messages and information it could either be verbal or written . A message could either be public which can be viewed by the society or private which is for a certain individual only . It is very essential in the society people could express their feelings , thoughts and opinions through communication . There are many media of communication two of the most popular is snail mail and e-mail . Through mails people can send their written messages . Snail Mail is another term

for the postal service , it was called snail mail ' because it takes days before a person receive a letter comparing the speed of the arrival of the mail to a snail . It was a traditional way to send and receive letters . E-mail on the other hand was a faster way to send and receive messages e-mail is the shortened name for electronic mail . This is a modern way to send letters , and became a necessity to every individual nowadays

Both are ways of sending mails , e-mail is the modern and fastest way to while the snail mail is the traditional and slower way to send mail Snail mail and e-mail both needs addresses , for snail mail it could either be home or business address while in the e-mail it would be an e-mail address . In snail mail a person must specify a person to whom the letter will be send , in e-mail the e-mail address is enough to specify to whom it would be sent . For certain individuals , snail mail is more personal than the e-mail . Snail mail needs a pen and a to write a letter , while an e-mail needs a computer with internet connection and an e-mail account to send a letter . But sometimes written letters is not as neat as typewritten letters . E-mail has more requirements than the snail mail , but e-mail was cheaper because there websites that is offering it for free while snail mail has to be paid . In some cases , letter sent through snail mail are lost but in e-mail a person can have the assurance that it would not be lost . E-mail is considered more efficient than snail mail

Snail mail and E-mail became very important in communicating with others , both in past and present times . Both methods have its own advantages and disadvantages , deciding which method to be used depend on what kind of letter is to be sent . Factors to be considered are whether if the letter is formal or personal , and when it is needed . The best way to choose which method to use is the one that is the most suitable method for the letter and the person receiving it
