2005

Introduction

Relationships between people are often very difficult as human beings tend to possess different traits , point of views and numerous different opinions . Moreover , almost all people are sure that they are right in this or that way and try to stand up for their principles . This results in worsening communication even among those who love and respect each other , like between fathers and their children . Not every person understands that this or that interest , this or that trait does not make a person bad or negative

Sometimes children begin to understand their parents only when they become parents themselves . They realize that their parents love them and want the best for them . The essays Shooting Dad ' and Arm Wrestling with my Father ' reflect the difficulties the authors had in relations with their parents and show how the heroes found the ways towards improving their communication
