Mother and Daughter Relationship : Comparison of two Mother and Daughter Selections

When writing short stories , there is a simple way to make it good and well done . With a good setting , nice point of view , awesome plot interesting set of characters and symbolism , one can produce a very good short story which can touch a heart of a person unknowingly . The greatness of a short story does not rely on these five things alone but also with the way how the author wrote it . There

is no doubt that the people with so much passion in writing can turn out a simple into a magnificent work . Like Alice Walker and Amy Tan , we can also make a story as good as the Pair of Tickets ' and Everyday Use

In these stories , we can determine the difference when it comes to the story elements . Aside from providing us with good entertainment or relaxing moment while reading these stories , we can also learn some life rules and values with these short stories . Both the female authors exercised their creativity when it comes to their works thus they provide a use of some figurative language before directly identifying a scene or perhaps , both of them thought that with the use of a deeper language , they can bring depth in their stories

Although these two stories differ from many aspects , they have something in common , the use of a mother and daughter as characters is visible including the sister relationships or siblings rivalry . The stories did not speak more than what it wants to convey in the mind of its readers Despite of using some figurative language , the stories talk straight to the point which gives the readers a chance to fully understand what the story is all about

In this comparative analysis , we will try to compare two among the five elements of the story thus making a better understanding of the two selections and providing a clearer view of the situation and the instances that is part of the selections . Everyday Use ' by Amy walker is a story about a mother and her two daughters . In the first part of reading , one might not understand what the story implies but upon reaching the middle of the selection , perhaps one would understand that there is not much about the relation of the mother to the elder daughter and at the same time , it shows the relation between the siblings .
