Among the important questions , if not the most important question of evolution , is whether humans emerged from his most closely related precursor - the primates and , if it can be affirmed that he did so , how did he emerge from his ancestral primate ? Evolutionary theory postulates , based on discovered fossils , that humans evolved from the primates

While studies conducted on fossil discoveries have resulted to divergent interpretations and conclusions as to the factors that caused the emergence of humans , anthropologists are in agreement that

However , how this distinguishing character emerged so as to elevate humans as a higher level of species from primates , is explained either from a biological or cultural perspective .
