I believe that I owe much to my community for all what it had done for me . The community has provided me with a good environment to grow and learn and therefore , I feel I should give back to the community not as a way to repay them , but as a way of saying thank you ' for all that There are different ways that a person can give back to the community but I feel that

the most important way that I can give back to the community is through offering my services to member of the society who deserves them and without asking them to pay back

One way I have offered my services to the community is through volunteering in American Cancer Society as a patient navigator . Today cancer is one of the public health concerns that are claiming lives of hundreds of thousands of Americans every day . In my neighborhood , there are many people whoa are living with cancer and who need to be encouraged and given the necessary help they required

The patient navigator program is a collaborative program that brings together the American Cancer Society and parents like hospital and cancer centers . It is an initiative that is meant to bring together different stakeholders in order to deal with the menace .
