Introduction

For communication to be effective it is necessary to eliminate all the barriers of communication and the biggest barriers of communication in any organization are gender and cultural differences . It is very important to overcome these barriers by identifying the different pattern of communication created by male and female and cultural differences

Gender Differences at Work

p Information processing capabilities of both men and women are different Men processes an information analytically where as women processes it abstractly . It is because of these different processing abilities that miscommunication arises . Communication of men are different as they are usually direct and blunt and use slang languages where as women are usually indirect and more respectful . They have a very tactful way while communicating orders or messages

Women are more relationship oriented when it comes to communicate tasks to the subordinates . They try to build a relation first before communicating official tasks where as men are more direct and simply communicates the tasks and projects as an order to the subordinates

Information are usually processed out loud by women whereas men would always process it internally first . Such a different attitude makes women think that men are not open to suggestions and men thinks that women wants an approval from them as they are weaker than them

Even the non-verbal communication of both the genders is different...
