John Lennon was born in Liverpool , England on October 1940 to Alfred Lennon and Julia Stanly during a German Luftwaffe attack . His love for music dates back before 1956 and was able to form his first group of musicians called Quarrymen in the same year of 1956 . Lennon wrote his first song , Hello

little girl ' in 1958 which they recorded with the beetles for Decca records in their 1962 audition . According to Johnlennon (n .d , Lennon 's mother died in a road accident as she tried to cross the road by a police officer who was off-duty . John alongside George , Paul , and Stu Sutcliffe formed a group known as the silver beetles in his final year in Liverpool . He met Yoko Ono in 1966 in London at the Indica Gallery and they got married in 1969 in Gibraltar Lennon has released several albums since his adventure into music industry . Some of the albums he has released include plastic Ono Band Acoustic , Menlove Ave , Milk and honey , Double fantasy , Rock `N ' Roll among many others
