The world is fast becoming a bless place . Cultures , races beliefs and ideologies are blend together and interact because of the growing advances in communications . For one to succeed in this world one needs to be able to adapt to the various cultural differences as well as be able to maintain a certain sense of individual identity This is one of the main reasons why I think Rutgers University is the best place for me to cultivate and develop my talents and to realize my dreams in life

I am a regular

volunteer at the local pharmacy where I am from . Over the years , I feel that my experience as such has enriched my life more than any other experience that I have had in my life because it was that experience as a volunteer at the pharmacy that I realized just what I wanted to do in life but more importantly I found something that made me happy and allowed me to interact with people

Yet I realize that in me to attain this dream I need to be able to find the proper learning environment that will nurture and develop my skills and at the same time provide equal opportunities to be able to learn other disciplines important in life . This is why I chose to apply to the School of Pharmacy at Rutgers University . And I realize that I must be able to market ' myself to the University if I am to be accepted or even considered

My firm dedication to hard work and excellence is shown by my accomplishments in academics , I maintain a 3 .7 GPA , and in sports , being on the Tennis Varsity Team for all four years of high school and eventually being named the captain during my senior year . Throughout my high school years , I have consistently maintained a certain level of excellence and work ethic that teachers , classmates and friends have come to know me for

While these achievements may remain on record for my entire life , what I am personally most proud of are the things that I have accomplished off the record ' and out of the campus . While I may have my schedule filled up with school activities and after school varsity training , I still find time to help others . I have devoted more than forty (40 hours of my time to the community in the form of service at an after school child care program and countless more hours after that to the children themselves when they ask me to help them out or even just hang out ' with them

My service to the community does not only include my devotion to helping the children but also in making the community a better place My outgoing personality has earned me many friends in school and in my community while my passion for helping others has earned me the respect of my elders and my peers
