Growing up , I have drawn a lot of strength from my parents . I feel very fortunate that despite their own lack of schooling they have done everything in their power to support my learning , funding and even encouraging me to be the best I can be . They have constantly reminded me that I can make just about anything of my life - anything . I believe visualize , pray for and work for . During the hard times in school when I thought it was impossible to pull through , their words resounded in my mind - that the difference between the impossible and the possible lies in a person 's determination . This keeps me going . They have taught me to lift my mind above problems and visualize powers and achievements . A mountain is only a mountain when you are down but when you are on top of it , it ceases to obstruct you

After I graduated , I joined a community college murder to save funs and get a feel of the business environment . I have been attending Houston community college for almost two years now while working part-time at Mercedes - Benz . To me work is a very important aspect of my life Besides financial rewards , work gives me the opportunity to refine and share knowledge , build relationships , help people , overcome personal challenges , grow as a professional and participate in a social environment . Work gives meaning to life

Though work is important to me , schooling is my number one priority at this point in my life . I like my work to be a presentation of my capabilities and schooling will definitely boost my capabilities , hence the quality of my work

Appreciating my family 's sacrifices has given me a powerful sense of drive . I am determined to make their effort worthwhile , to make them proud . They expect the best from me and I want to make sure they get it One of my life 's passions is to be a person of influence in the society Being the first member of my family to go to college , I would like to be an example to others , a role model , and a mentor . It would encourage others in my family to grow to their maximum potential .
