Through globalization , countries particularly the developing states have had all the negative effects associated with privatization Privatization involves disinvestments , deregulation as well as the workers capitalism . All these elements have affected collective bargaining among workers . The deprivation of collective bargaining can be seen as a denial of the workers rights . Trade unions always use the tools of collective bargaining to better address issues of the workers and when this tool is silenced , the workers ' claims will not be addressed
Deregulation erodes the accrued interests of workers and trade unions since it directly affects collective bargaining . It has become a serious issue of obtaining protections and benefits by the workers in an overly deregulated public sector . This has silenced trade unions which are critical for workers to apply tools of collective bargaining .
