In the first place mythology is a body or a collection of several myths belonging to individuals and it as well addresses their origin , deities history , heroes as well as ancestors . It is also a body of myths associated with an event , institution and person . Before one mentions the term mythology it is always important to give a definition of the term myth . The term myth actually comes from the Greek mythos which refers to the speech or discourse but it later on

comes to mean fable or legend . Regarding the aforementioned statement the term myth is clearly defined as a story of forgotten or indistinguishable starting point fundamentally spiritual or supernatural in nature , which looks forward to give an explanation or rationale of one or even more aspects of the human race or the general public

In this same connection , all the myths are at some point believed to be true by the individuals of the societies that tent to use or originate the myth . However , the definition in this case is actually distinguished from the use of the term myth in the daily speech which on the whole refers to any unreal or invented story .
