story tells about a thirty five year old industrious , tender and physically strong woman who is married to Henry a farm rancher . The couple has ways of communicating with each other and through the years has grown familiar with each other . Both are comfortable with their own works which day in and day out they gladly do . The wife prides herself to have a planting hand and the man of the ranch has a good sense of business . By merely looking at the two it would be well said that they live pleasantly well enough . However , the female approaching the mid life in this story depicts a woman who is not outspoken but sincere Though she may love the works she does , because of her mastery towards the caring of her chrysanthemums flower garden that job almost became monotony and so as it is in the way she looks at and relate towards her husband . Boredom is noticeably slowly creeping into their relationship
Everything that is around Elisa became a commonplace though beautiful A landscape that is never changing becomes a repetition that is too dull to live by . She seemed to want to get out of the box and try new things she is looking for a life that has thrills and surprises . She even dare that she could be better than men , a deep longing of most women who thinks they are treated like a second class citizens . This kind of uneasiness is difficult for men to learn mastery with it is something untouchable in the heart and mind of a woman
Women do not wish to feel and look old though in the alter ego women keeps the man of their life young , the male counter ego is sometimes not sensitive to what the woman in his life needs . For that reason why we hear most of the time men complaints that woman is difficult to understand and women keep on changing their minds . Most women would not show they are getting old and weak they do wish always to be strong alive and healthy . It is always the feminine gender that cares , which indeed has a planting hand but in reality they wanted to be cared for to be tendered regularly in to keep their youthfulness
Elisa tries to cover herself from what she really desire , Henry on the other hand is insensitive to what his wife really feels . He seemed to know how to handle the woman of his life...
