The Holy Bible is undeniably one of the most famous books of all times Consisted of two books--the Old Testament and the New Testament , the Holy Bible holds various mysteries , some of which are still unanswerable up to now . The creation of the New Testament is one example . It could be said that the creation of the New Statement was based

also on political and cultural choices and not purely theological

The New Testament was first observed during the middle of the 4th century with the existence of its oldest surviving version , the Codex Sinaiticus ( Trowbridge , 1998 . Greek was the language used in these writings which raised questions because apparently , Aramaic was Jesus language (Carrier , 2000 . Although he may know how to speak Greek , he certainly did not speak with his apostles using this language . This only suggests that the original meanings of Jesus ' teachings were not exactly captured even if they were translated properly

The choosing of the books to be included in the New Testament was also controversial . Bishop Irenaeus was the one who officially pronounced in that the first four books be Matthew , Mark , Luke , and John (Metzger 1997 .
