Today Buddhism remains one of the most popular religions in Asian region , but its popularity is growing throughout the world . Some researchers argue that within centuries Buddhism may replace Christian set of beliefs and values , but it is hardly believable . Therefore , the article Buddha ' pays attention to regions , where Buddhist practices are highly recognized , to Buddhist concepts of life and death salvation , nirvana and enlightenment . It is necessary to agree that Buddhism is a religion of salvation , as Christianity , but their views are opposing . In particular , Buddhist concept

of salvation is the central point of the religious system . When Buddha experienced so-called enlightenment , he realized the cruelty of the world and claimed the world was bad . Therefore , nirvana is the only way to be united with the God . The world is viewed as the source of evil and constant sufferings Thus , people are to be liberated from the evil , to break ties with the world and re-shape views on human psyche and body

Buddhist salvation argues that we should remain indifferent towards the world . In contrast , Christian teachings say that salvation is a God 's gift . Salvation is the belief that we will be saved from the sin and eternal life is waiting for us after the death . I can 't agree with Buddhist concept of salvation as people shouldn 't be indifferent towards what is happening in the world , we should use our intellect , spirit and senses in the efforts to escape from the evil , but...
