CHINA AND INDIA Introduction China and India are well known for their huge population , china is the most populated country in the world while India is the second most populated nation in the world , India and China are countries that are located in the Asian continent , china has a population amounting to 1 ,384 ,303 ,705 people while that of India is 1 ,045 ,845 ,226 people , the china republic covers an area of 9 ,584 ,492 square kilometers while India covers 3 ,167 ,590 . The population density for china therefore is

134 people per square kilometer while for India the population density is 318 people per square kilometer
Despite the high population in these two countries they are termed as developed countries with high levels of GDP and income per capita , in the year 2006 china had a GDP amounting to 10 trillion dollars approximately and India had a GGDP amounting to 4 trillion dollars , the local currency of India is the Rupee while that of china is the Yuan
Sectors in the economy for both countries include Agriculture where they both produce rice and wheat which they trade with neighboring countries china 's neighboring countries include India , Pakistan , India , Bhutan Nepal , Vietnam , Mongolia and to the east it boarders the pacific ocean India 's neighbors include Pakistan , china , Bhutan , Nepal and Burma and it boarders the Indian Ocean to the south and at the same time it has another coast line at the Bay of Bengal
In the recent past India and china have had a good performing economy however India has been faced with higher inflation rate than china where India 's inflation reached 5 ,3 in 2006 and that of china was 1 .5 India 's imports were higher than exports in the year 2006 where exports amounted to 112 billion dollars and imports amounted to 189 .9 billion dollars in 2006 , for china the balance of trade was favorable in the year 2006 where exports amounted to 974 billion dollars and imports were 777 .9 billion dollars

They are the most populated nations in the world however the high population does not hinder their economic performance , the two countries also have similar sectors of the economies whereby they have the agricultural sector which produces both wheat and rice for domestic consumption and also for export , however china is more developed than India and has major industries such as the consumer electronic goods steel industries and many others
