After she was over with the attendance , she began explaining the outline of our course and also told us about an assignment that was to have a great impact on our final grade of that course . The instructor briefed us about the important details of

the assignment but I didn 't understand it clearly as I was too excited in the first class and didn 't concentrate much on what was being said . The assignment was to be submitted within a month . Three weeks after the announcement of the assignment , I thought of starting it but when I read the requirements , I had no idea what to do . Now I just had two options , either I had to go to my course instructor or to ask any of my class mates to explain me what to do . Both options have their own pros and cons . If I approach the instructor , she will briefly explain me the details accurately but again she would also scold me as to why I started with the assignment at the eleventh hour and might develop a negative perception about me but if I approach any of my classmates , they might me give me sum inappropriate details that might contradict what in real the teacher actually wanted in the assignment
Therefore , I 'll go to my best friend who is an excellent student academically and will ask him what he has understood about the assignment and how he is following the instructions of the teacher . I 'll ask him how much work has he done , how he has done it and the difficulties he has been facing while working on the assignment . After taking an idea , I 'll go to my instructor for more details but before that I 'll ask the teacher for the appropriate time when she would be available to guide me with the assignment . I 'll discuss with her the way my friend is working on the assignment and will ask her if I 'm in the right direction or if there are some more things required . In this way I will be able to get a complete overview as to what is required in the assignment and the instructor would also not have a bad impression about me by knowing the fact that I will be starting with my assignment late (Smith , Smith Lisi , 2000
