Whenever one thinks of politics , what comes to mind first is collective decision-making and power . Such decision-making inevitably impacts on the lives of all the people that it involves within the period of time being considered . This sets out to identify the key elements of the world 's political trends , with 1945 as the reference point

One of the mentionable aspects of international politics has been the setting up and operations of the United Nations Organization . This was founded

in 1945 , immediately after the Second World War . This has for a long time played a key role in global decision-making . It has helped in resolution of multinational conflicts , in addition to trying to administer an international system of justice .
