At its very basic , Organizational Change means having a different approach (s ) from the status quo or the tendencies apparent in an organization . There are two vital drivers to change these are the top management and the environmental factors of the concern . Change and development processes are vital when considering occurrences such as innovations , business process re-engineering , mergers with other organizations and most importantly , the decision making process . The

general idea of this is to delineate the dynamics affecting change and how these different factors affect change in an organization either in independence or when they work together . It is also of equal importance to analyze the nature of organizations changes and the imminent transformations that are resultant , say on the management

The rapid change in organizations environments today is most probably due to increase in sophistication of information technology (both in communication and automation ) and the enhancement of the transportation technology among other things . For instance , international markets have today experienced dramatic expansions owing to the fact that technology has improved secondly , there has been decrease in employment opportunities in the United States definitely because systems have increasingly been automated .
