The world has completely been transformed due to the Information Revolution . The requirement of acquiring and processing the information faster to make quick decisions introduced many changes in our lifestyle The computers accelerated the processing speeds and developments in the field of telecommunication enabled the interconnectivity . The advent in technology started reducing the size of microcomputers . Simultaneously the wireless revolution paved way for introduction of cellular phone networks . The integration of

both these technologies has provided a convenience not only to the business world but also to a common user Through a Handheld device , a user can now benefit all the functionalities of a standard PC while remaining in constant communication with others . This has been designed to analyze this merger of technologies which has eliminated the problems of interconnectivity of Handheld PCs and the hassle of carrying multiple portable devices Analytical Study on the Cell Phone in Handheld PC

A Handheld PC or a Palmtop is a term used for a computer which is smaller than any standard laptop computer . The Handheld PCs were originally designed for consumer Personal Data Assistant (PDA ) devices to run on a Platform Release of the Microsoft Windows operating system with the term also covering devices released by the broader commercial market . Such devices afford portability and allow better organization of one 's life on the move . The Handheld PC provides familiar applications and functions as available on a desktop PC or a laptop . The features of Handheld PC remained limited when it is used in a standalone mode . For optimum utilization , it can be networked to other computers through radio or infrared devices . The Handheld PC also removes the necessity of carrying any additional mobile device like cell phones since most of the Handheld PCs have now inbuilt functionality of cell phones . The integration of cell phone in Handheld PC also allows a consumer to remain connected to Internet through GPRS while on move or at remote places where networking facility does not exist . This will analyze the latest trends in this regard highlighting the benefits of integrating cell phones in Handheld PCs with familiarization to few such devices .
