Executive Summary

Ever since the early years of Omega House 's establishment , funding serves to be the main concern of those people handling the said institution . After SAC taking over Omega House after the latter was bankrupt , to some extent , funding for various activities of Omega House improved . In to make the facilities updated and fiancy new activities of Omega House , SAC hired George in to help Ellen and the rest of the administrative staff

of Omega to generate funds since George has enough expertise in generating income and handling fundraising activities . But to Ellen 's dismay , George seem to be not performing his job as the new development officer . Most of his tasks were being shouldered by other staff members like what happened to the `casino night ' wherein most of its details where prepared by Lisa their university intern , though the said fundraising activity was successful and generated enough funds for Omega House

By the time Ellen confronted George regarding his performance to Omega House , specifically to the committee assigned to him which was tasked to generate funds , George argued that he did not intend to leave his committee members and he did not have enough time to attend all of the committee meeting where he was supposed to attend as the committee head George also stressed out that he can 't manage his time well since he also had to report to SAC perform his duties there as part of SAC 's Cross-Program-Task Force . On the other hand , Ellen pointed out that the salary of George comes from the finds of Omega House and she expected him to perform his job for the organization and not for SAC since he is already under Ellen 's management . At the end of the day , both Ellen and George was not able to settle their dispute and the former thought after office if whether it was really George fault why he was not able to perform his task or it was the ambiguous organizational structure that current works between SAC and Omega House

Issues /Factors

One possible issue in the case would be the autocratic leadership of SAC 's administration particularly the former SAC Director , Patti Kelley who was known for being capricious and insensitive in making decisions for the entire organization . Moreover , Patti sometime carries out decisions concerning the welfare of the entire organization without consulting the opinion of the program directors . Like what happened before wherein Patti brought visitors to Omega House without forwarding any notice which made Ellen despise Patti for unprofessional and shallow mindedness for that action . In addition to this , it was Patti who hired George and gave the latter the specifics of his job for SAC even though he will be under the management of Ellen , the job nature of George both falls under the custody of SAC and Omega House which now causes ambiguity between Ellen and George
