What is also important is to note that Sony has been losing a lot of money on their consumer electronics business and the profits from its gaming arms is right now subsidizing all its other loss-making businesses

Considering how the current players in the gaming industry are performing on their financials , we can easily say that all of them are making money except Sega that has not had a major share in the gaming industry for the last many years . In other words , you have to fail for several generations of gaming to not be making profits or money .
