Accounting is a very diverse field and there are numerous opportunities
available to an accounting graduate much more if one gets a license as a
Certified Public Accountant . Accountants also tend to have a very
commendable salary rate and the title of a CPA is highly regarded by the
society . I aspire to become a Certified Public Accountant because CPAs
have many opportunities and these opportunities are available almost
everywhere . You practically will not need to look for an employment the
moment you get your license because job opportunities would literally be
knocking at your doorstep .
I believe I have the necessary skills that will allow me to succeed in
this field . Many believe that someone who wants to be an accountant must
have exceptionally good math skills . This is rather a misconception .
Although math is indeed a necessary knowledge for an aspiring
accountant , one needs only basic math skills for this field , the rest is
analytical and critical thinking . This is the most necessary foundation
for an aspiring accountant . I am not saying that I am bad in Math but
analytical and critical thinking is where definitely one aspect that I
excel at .
Many want to pursue being a CPA because of a promising salary and
various job opportunities but a number of these people give up along the
way because accounting is really a difficult field of study .
Nonetheless , I am confident that I can cope with this and I would
definitely not back down when I am already halfway there . People stick
to this field because of the promise of a good pay , yet , they do not
enjoy what they do .
The good pay may be due to the great demand for CPA or maybe because of
the diversity of the field , but for me , the salary would be a good
driving force , but what is really important is that I would enjoy what I
do which is a whole lot better . You enjoy your work and while earning a
lot . Some say that the work of an accounting is very tiring especially
during audit season , but that will not change my perception . I am
determined to be a CPA and I would do this to the best of my abilities .
I did my research and I have already prepared for the worst .
For one , I can always choose to be an auditor and scrutinize financial
statements which could prove fulfilling on a moral aspect because as I
earn my income , I would also be able to help the client in keeping its
record accurate as well as help the government prevent
misrepresentations of income which affects tax collections . As an
auditor , I will be tasked to ensure the correctness of financial records
which would benefit the greater public . If you want to take control of
your time , self-employment is always a viable option in this field .
The opportunity to be hired as an accountant is very high considering
that the profession is very much in demand...
