Professional organizations devoted to the human service fields are becoming active and abundant in the present society . This is mainly because the modern people are now realizing further the importance and significance of human service in different approaches such as assisting career pursuit , providing extracurricular education , focusing on childcare development and others . Personal participation to these kinds of organization is also significant as it offers and individual a mean to support and care for other individual other than him or herself

One particular aspect of the human service

field is the area of gerontology wherein individuals in this field offer human services to the elderly and senior citizens through either working as personal care aides or being in retirement homes , nursing homes or hospitals . In this area , the welfare and well-being of the elderly are being promoted through health services , emotional assistance and psychological inspiration . Indeed , the idealism of giving back the virtue that the elderly has given throughout their spirited days are returned through the caring and nurturing human service organizations gives in the gerontology field

Under this human service field , two professional organizations manifest much values and idealism namely the institution of Arlington Rest Home and the Cooperative Elder Services , Inc . whose efforts have made a difference in the gerontology field . Their programs inculcate the values of nurturing and promoting the health of the elderly through a comprehensive health system , enjoyable activity program for the senior citizens , and social services to make them feel that they are still members of the society . Their facilities include licensed and skilled nursing personnel , an environmentally stimulating and relaxing home , and a highly cultivated program for elderly healthcare services . Their programs include wide-variety of services such ranging from physical development through exercise , mind-stimulating games , other learning programs for fields of cooing , gardening , music and others for interested participants . Indeed , inside the care of these significant institutions , the negative mentality of viewing the elderly to be outcast of the society is eliminated . In general , nurturing the health and welfare of the senior citizens is a noble service and with the efforts and idealism of the organizations of the Arlington Rest Home and the Cooperative Elder Services , Inc , the said principle is indeed promoted .
