The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC ) is one of the eleven federal agencies under the Department of Health and Human Services . The CDC guides 3 ,000 local public health departments in controlling health related problems and outbreaks . Alongside , the CDC is the CIA , FBI and the Department of Homeland Security . Indeed , with such a vast connection , and with mass number departments and people working in them , it is adamantly important that an effective communication process is established . In the hands of these government agencies are the lives of the people in the United States of America , and at times even the lives of other people in the whole world
