The roadmap and central thesis

of this aims at examining the historical development of Canon 1055 which is contained in the 1983 Code of Canon Law of the Roman Catholic Church . The said Canon , while by and large remains to be juridical regulation pertinent to the Sacrament of Matrimony , expresses nevertheless , in a manner being concise but substantial , the theological elements that summarily define the nature of Christian marriage . While variedly defined , marriage is often taken as a legally recognized relationship between tow human persons of different sex for a full community of life ' The discussions which shall be developed , however , would take little interest in defining what constitutes marriage as examining the historical antecedents of Canon 1055 . More than anything else , the is interested in establishing patent correspondences that may be gleaned from literatures antedating the said canon .
