According to Thinkquest (2010 ,

. 1 ) global warming is when the earth heats up (the temperature rises . It happens when greenhouse gases (carbon dioxide , water vapor , nitrous oxide , and methane ) trap heat and light from the sun in the earth 's atmosphere , which increases the temperature ' Excess temperatures

hurt plants and animals and may lead to death . Greenhouse effect occurs when heat and light energy from the sun are trapped in the atmosphere . If the ozone layer is destroyed , the heat and light energy cannot get out of the atmosphere leading to build up of excess heat on earth . This causes a rise in temperatures within the atmosphere and this is dangerous for survival of plants and animals (Thinkquest , 2010 . There are two opposing viewpoints about the impacts of global warming
