Bullying is an issue that , one way or another , most individuals do not give much thought to . There 's a number of reasons for this : many may never experience it at all or , more likely , they are unable to acknowledge that what they have witnessed is bullying , dismissing it as peers simply teasing another . However , within the last year alone , it has been made

clear that bullying is more of an issue than ever before lives are quite literally at stake , and it becomes clearer every day that America is unable to provide a stable and safe learning environment for its students . The result ? Victims of bullies are being thrown into a voracious social meat grinder rather than a quality education , and emerge from it a tattered remnant of what they might have been assuming they emerge at all

Perhaps the most difficult aspect in convincing individuals of the social problem presented by bullying is that the modern nature of it is entirely understood . Many individuals , particularly older ones associate bullying merely with physical violence , and assume that the increasingly stringent security measures taken by schools in recent years is enough to deal with the physical violence of bullying .
