The most relevant ones were picked and though it may only be a handful compared to what really happened , the scenes were very representative of the whole story Another critic by Joe Lyndon for the Variety is yet another positive review . It describes the film as emotionally honest and gives a thumbs up on how the film showcased an insightful and evenhanded view of racial and political realities in the contemporary South
