Running head : BIOLOGY QUESTIONS Biology Questions [Author 's Name] [Tutor 's Name] [Class] Abstract The examines the structure and motion of cell organelles , the process of plant photosynthesis , and RNA functions Biology Questions Describe and analyze any two cell organelles . What organelle is involved with synchronous (mitochronal ) motion We know that all living organism are made of small elements , which we call cells . It is even more important to know that the cells also comprise numerous smaller organelles of different forms and functions The two of

them - the cell membrane and the cilia will be analyzed in this study
The cell membrane is a fluid mosaic of lipids , proteins , and carbohydrates (Wolfe , 1995 . These elements ultimately determine the role of the membrane in the cell . They create the mosaic structure of the cell membrane and make the cell membrane an integral element of the cell 's structure . Cell membranes are the structures with fluid characteristics . Membranes are not static sheets of molecules locked rigidly in place . A membrane is held primarily by hydrophobic interactions , which are much weaker than covalent bonds (Cooper 2006
There are certain differences between the characteristics of a plant and an animal cell . The plant cell is characterized by having a rigid wall , while an animal cell possesses a flexible bilayer of lipids . As a result , the lipid layers of the animal cell make it easy for the cell to regenerate itself in case it is torn (Cooper , 2006 . Lipids also serve a reliable barrier against the polar molecules from the outside of the cell . Simultaneously , the cell membrane can transport smaller polar molecules : transport proteins , each specialized for a certain molecule , can transport polar molecules across the membrane (Wolfe 1995
Membrane proteins rotate around their axes they can also move laterally . Moreover , the structure of cell membrane makes it possible for the proteins to re-arrange . However , the so-called mitochronal (synchronous ) motion is not characteristic to cell membrane . This motion is produced by other cell organelles - the cilia . Cilia move because of the interactions of a set of microtubules inside (Childs , 1996 The cilia are usually covered with the plasma membrane extensions , and are designed to move various substances in , out , or around the cell . The synchronous motion of the cell cilia has attracted attention of several researchers (Wolfe , 1995 Childs , 1996 . The term synchronous or mitochronal motion ' was designed to describe the peculiar motions of various organic cells . These movements remind the movements of small hairs , and with the help of microscope they can be noticed in the majority of animal cells . The researchers have also noticed that the synchronous motion of cilia continues after the cell 's death as long as the cell is still able to produce kinetic contractility (Lodish 2007 .The role of cilia in human cells is so important , that their defects can lead to genetic mutations

Plants are the only photosynthetic organisms to have leaves . A leaf may be viewed as...
