Introduction

Cloning is a very controversial since it affects the moral values of human being and other living things alike . Since scientists in Scotland announced the birth of the first cloned sheep named Dolly cloning possibilities have grown . Although no direct conclusions have been drawn , compelling arguments state that cloning of both human and non-human species results in harmful physical and psychological effects on both groups . Today after extensive experiments , scientists are able to clone both plants and animals with some success . However , the cloning of human beings

has raised many ethical and moral questions . It has its pros and cons . Clone body organs , which are an exact replica of an individual body organ , would prove to be very beneficial to a person who may have lost a body organ such as a kidney . The clone organ in the long run may work better than a transplant organ . On the other hand some would say that cloning is unnatural and not ethically correct . But if cloning were unnatural so would be the medicine one take when one falls sick . No doubt that many problems involving the technological and ethical sides of this issue will virtually be impossible to avoid , but the overall idea of successfully cloning humans is something still far in the future . Human cloning and the reproduction of a genetically copied plant are immortal because it violates the dignity of the individual and the living thing

Human cloning is the process in which a human being is created from an original human being without the process of fertilization occurring The human being ' is created by placing a strand of DNA into an unfertilized zygote and then placing the egg into a surrogate mother (Emig Et al . 2 . When it is born it is an identical reproduction of the original DNA donor . Cloning experiments have been going on for decades Mary Emig and a group of professors stated that , Cloning experiments have been going since the 1970 's when they were experimenting with frogs and toads . Also experiments have involving plants and animal embryos have been performed over the past years (Emig Et al . 1 . At first the idea of human cloning was thought of more as a fantasy than a reality People thought cloning only could happen in books and movies . But the birth of Dolly ' shocked many and changed skepticals into believers Dolly ' was the first fully grown mammal to be cloned . It was created by Ian Wilmut and a group of associates in Scotland . Brandon Reavis and his colleges wrote that , It was the first organism cloned from adult cells (Reavis Et al . 1 . I believe after the cloning of Dolly human cloning is not to far from existing . People believe that human cloning proposes more gains than losses but as I have researched there seem to be more of losses than gains
