The American Constitution was not only a groundbreaking document when it was authored , but continues to provide additional freedoms through the amendment process . In this research , key amendments will be discussed

Additionally , the freedom for one to speak freely , gather in a peaceful group , and for the press to report the news of the day are guaranteed by this amendment . Of course , there are limitations to these rights for example , one does not have the right to force others to embrace their religion , to gather for criminal or disruptive purposes or to use free speech to spread false information about others .
