Psychological Development Theory simply suggests that human development starts from infancy to late adulthood . In words , human development is a lifetime process that starts since birth (Wagner , 2008 The first stage will be the Infancy Stage wherein the role of mother plays a major on the

development of child since in this stage the trust of the child towards other people is being develop considering that he /she is still dependent on his /her immediate environment . One possible advertising strategy that can be derived from this human development stage would be to depict to various families , especially to mothers , the importance of taking good care of their child and this can be done through the use of the products that will be endorsed . Care givers can also serve as a character in television and movies , instead of the mothers , since they also provide care to infants
Toddler Stage will be the next development stage after Infancy stage and here the child starts to develop sense of independence as he /she becomes to expose to factors outside of his /her immediate environment In for a child to successfully surpass this stage , parents must let their child to choose what ever the child fancy like clothes , foods and toys . In this regard , it will be better if the advertising company will focus on commercials wherein parents let their child to choose among the products that the advertising company endorse
Next will be Play Stage wherein a child already tries to discover everything that surrounds him /her . He /she starts to learn the basics of physics and mathematics which leads him /her towards the understanding of things that surrounds him /her . Guilt is also one of the emotions that are developed in this stage especially during the times wherein he /she fails to achieve the desired outcome of an activity /action . Teachers would be the very good character for this stage that can be utilized by the advertising company since children sees their teachers as all-knowing and treats as their second parents . Therefore , when making commercials that targets children belonging into this stage , it would be better to tap the academe sector in for these children to be easily attracted to the products that will be endorsed
School Age Stage will be the fourth stage of Erik Erikson 's Psychosocial Development Theory and discusses the development of child through the belief of their parents and teachers regarding their skills In other words , encouragement from the parents and teachers are necessary in for a child to surpass this stage of development .
