Who have not heard the names John Lennon , James Paul McCartney , George Harrison , and Ringo Starr . These names are immortalized , and their music transcended time , and defied geographical and socio-cultural boundaries . For many , the Beatles almost single-handedly changed the world of music and rocked their generation . They touched people 's lives in more ways than one , not just of Liverpool but people of all races and colors

In the U .K , the band 's hometown , the Beatles did not only conquer the music scene and top the charts with

their songs like From Me to You , I Want to Hold Your Hand , She Loves You , and Can 't Buy Me Love . More than topping the charts and being heard virtually every minute in the airwaves , the band has become an icon in the music industry . Some music critics in London attributed their phenomenal success to the songwriting skills of Lennon and McCartney , guitar-playing expertise of Harrison and the simplicity yet impressive drum-playing style of Starr . Not just one but a number of dailies regarded them as the greatest composers since Beethoven . With their unstoppable and ever-increasing popularity during their time (and as history proves it , even after that , a mass hysteria erupted , known simply as Beatlemania

In 1964 , the Fab Four flew to the United States . Thousands of fans warmly welcomed them in the JFK airport .
