How do we build a website

To build a website there are several things that need to be considered These include the type of website- is determined by the purpose of the website , which determines if the website will be dynamic or static Dynamic websites are websites which are database driven while the latter (static ) are websites that are not database driven they just use the normal html pages (Rachel A 2005 . In static website , information

does not change therefore information is put on the html code unlike dynamic where information and data is put on the database such as MYSQL and are retrieved by web programming languages such as PHP , ASP among others The programming codes are put within the html code so that they can operate or process data ( Rachel A 2005

We can build a website using different designing tools such as Dream Weaver , Front Page among others . The above tools can help in the designing the html pages . Some tools are drag n drop while others are coded designing depending on your experience . Below are 3 different parts in the development of a website . HTML , web programming language and Database ( Rachel A 2005 . The three above are used to develop a dynamic website which is taking shape in web technology . In HTML , the layout of information is laid down . Within the HTML , the program tags will be inserted , this program tags will retrieved and process data from the database that therefore displaying them to appear as part of HTML code

And maybe some text and web contents here . The italized text shows where data is put for display on the browser This is where web program code is put using necessary tagging for specific languages . For example in PHP , are the tags that are put before and after the code respectively . Conclusion

There are many web programming languages , these languages can be used hand in hand with the HTML code so that they can display data in the database , and the database is used store data which is retrieved to suit specific user who is logged into the website
