By meaning , information age is also known as information era or computer age . This condition occurs as in the information age , the transfer of information uses the computer system throughout the sophisticated network worldwide . This fact underlines the key characteristics of information age , which are global , improved productivity , and dependence on computer or information technology

Global is considered as one characteristic

because in the Information Age , national bs , distances , and spaces do not restrict the flow of information .
