Abstract

The following study is designed through quantifiable methods in order to assess the past , present , and future expectations of the use of alcohol by university students . A survey of six questions was provided to 115 participants who were asked about their alcohol consumption habits and the changes to those habits as they age . The results of the study suggest that not only age , but gender is relevant to the past

existing , and future use of alcohol . The use of alcohol in some capacity is anticipated to be frequent after the university experience by 83 .3 of the participants . However , the question remains as to whether the use is related to the attendance of the university or to the advancement of age (Figure 5

Introduction

The following study was designed with the intent of discovering the self-perceptions of university students towards their past , present and potential future consumption of alcohol . The study was designed with a six question survey instrument that was given to 250 potential participants with 219 viable surveys being returned to the researcher The questions were designed with two levels of perceived consumption and referred to three different time periods within the lives of the participants .
