REF : Analysis of the terrorism situation in the state of New York

Due to the increased threat of terrorism in the country , I would like to express my interest on the upholding of security in the city to prevent occurrences of terrorism activities

I congratulate your office for its desire to make the city safe from terrorism threats

. However additional surveillance must be enhanced especially in sub ways where it has been reported that nearly half of the 4 ,313 surveillance cameras are faulty exposing the city to insecurity threats

Although street patrols have been enhanced by the New York Police Division , the latest laying off of about 600 agents stationed in the sub ways due to budget reasons has been received negatively by majority of residents

Terrorism remains faceless amid increased security upgrades by Homeland Security . I support the enactment of legislations that aimed at making the city safe from terrorism threats . The enactment of anti-terrorism policies will ensure that security checks are done to prevent potential threats and the public aid the New York Police Division in reporting suspicious terrorism activities

I therefore pledge my support in your proactive actions in making the city safe for all residents
