Eligibility criteria in the early childhood intervention program is not based on the level of income , the programs are free only for people who are 250 below the poverty line that has been set by the Fed , other families do have to pay for early childhood intervention services but they have to pay only a fraction and even that fraction is based on a sliding scale i .e . that for large sized families they would have

to pay less , families with a smaller net income would have to pay less , these are some examples of the types of criteria that have been used the early childhood intervention centre . Developmental Delay : Children whose growth is delayed in the areas of cognitive development , motor development , communication social-emotional and self help . A free assessment is carried out by the ECI itself . Parents may contact on the number given on the website to conduct a free assessment of their child , the assessment can be carried out at home or at an ECI centre , which ever the parents consider more feasible

Atypical Development : Children who might be in line with their development and age but their development pattern might be different from the children around him or her
