2 Assess the settlement of Versailles. What were its good points? Bad points? Was the peace too harsh or too conciliatory? Could it have ensured peace in Europe? How might it have been improved?
Versailles The Treaty of Versailles aimed to end the conflict between the national interests in different European political segments . As a settlement tool in to release the continent from grave suffering it was basically intended to provide some instructional support on how different nations could afford to comply with the presented processes to effectively give each society their respective shares of economies One of the great advantages of the treaty led to the overall separation of states from the previous unbounded empires . Because of this process , countries like France , Poland and

Belgium were able to retrieve back parts of their geo-political assets . However , not all positive outcomes were observed . Because of the sudden divisive approach to bring back the lost territories to each countries , it was very difficult for people with racial affiliations to identify in which state they belonged . Huge numbers of people were lost . Apparently , there were cases in which people of a certain nation were left in the wrong country (PMACI . It was also very difficult to allocate the correct physical territory in such a way no other claimants would appear
Overall , the treaty of Versailles can be seen as harshly employed with respect to Germany . Since the country was identified to be the major initiator of conflict , most of the treaty 's principles can be observed to be against the nation . The country was disarmed with all military force units and the population reduced to about 100 ,000 . With such a case , the peace in Europe was not at all guaranteed . As a result of this oppression , the rise of the Nazi 's in World War II was a clear proof . The treaty could have provided some very good consultations first with all the states . This could have provided more opportunities for France , Germany and other nations to mandate their approval of the agreement
