These processes , however , are particularly problematic and troublesome in individuals that have social functioning problems . The sample included 15 participants with ASD , 10 nonautistic individuals with reading disability history , and 11 typically developed individuals (Clark , Winkielman and McIntosh , 2008 . For each participant , the procedure comprised the three different stages (blocks , which required extracting the three different types of information : emotion , gender and animal . Each block included practice session and experimental section . Through comparison , researchers tried to test the time of reaction , as well as the possible impact of speed-accuracy trade-offs on the research results
The results have far-reaching implications for managing individuals behaviors .
