br angles , through a descriptive image , individuals will be able to reflect on the things that are happening in the world around them . In this light , this aims to highlight certain elements in the paintings to support this claim : one can reflect a lot from these paintings
The Battle of the Amazons ' is a rather intense image . It showed , as the title implies , an on going war between two nations . This was represented by the bridge wherein most of the characters in the scene are active . One can witness power and strength from either side of the picture , as the men and animals charge for victory . However , just because the picture is about a battle , it does not necessarily mean that it is a battle between good and evil . In the picture , it can be observed that there are no elements to direct anyone to that assumption . They are in a battle to avenge and protect their country . They will sacrifice their all for their country and people
The second painting , The Volga Boatmen , has the theme slavery with a very depressing mood . There are men pulling the ship as they step on hot sand with bare feet . They do not look happy , or even energetic about what they were doing . They have lost the spark of hope each individual should have . Moreover , the group of men relatively have a darker shade in contrast to the background . It could be that this implies the oppression they were experiencing . Slaves were perceived to be savage people - uneducated and ill-mannered . But that does not mean that they should be treated less than human beings . More importantly , in portraying slavery , where are the women ? Experiencing the unimaginable Since the image was composed mostly of male characters , shouldn 't one also consider the welfare of the women
The final image is entitled the Heart of Andes . Its primary difference from the previous paintings is that this one is of a landscape . The image exists without a trace of human existence . It seems to imply that the beauty of nature will move on beautifully without the presence of man . Nature will take its course , and is better off without the influence of the cunning yet destructive mind
With this image in mind , one can find peace . But with the modern advances of man with technology , this would be a rare view . It would be great to think that the world was this beautiful . In the growth...
