Argument
The arguments in this support the withdrawal of all U .S . forces currently deployed in Iraq . This is in the context of the issue of the post war occupation of the United States on Iraqi soil . In an editorial by Gardner (2004 , it was narrated how the 2003 invasion of Iraq by a multinational coalition headed by the United States overthrew the Ba 'ath Party which was the ruling government under Saddam Hussein . The invasion was initiated primarily as a pre-emptive measure taken because of fears of weapons of mass destruction allegedly within

Iraqi territory
One primary reason why the U .S . military stayed after the downfall of the Ba 'ath controlled government in Iraq was because Saddam Hussien was still at large and might still be able to take Iraq back if not apprehended . Thus if Saddam would be apprehended , then this reason would no longer apply . On December of 2003 , Saddam was captured . In 2006 , he was found guilty of several crimes against his people and was executed Clearly this means that Saddam was already apprehended , therefore the reason to stay because of him no longer applies (Modus Ponens
Another reason why the U .S . military stayed was because of the fear of hidden biochemical weapons of mass destruction . If there is still fear regarding the presence of weapons of mass destruction in Iraq , this simply means that evidence has yet to be presented to the contrary of this fear . However just weeks after the invasion , several inspecting institutions already attested that there were no such weapons . In fact British intelligence had withdrawn a previous allegation that there were weapons of mass destruction as based on new evidence that they were able to acquire after the war (Vest , 2005 . Hence , since there is evidence that has been presented to the contrary of this fear , there is no longer any fear of hidden biochemical weapons of mass destruction hidden in Iraq (Modus Tolens
Finally , the U .S . military claims that it needs to stay in Iraq in to assist its transition to sovereignty . This transition is completed by the transfer of power to the people through popular elections . The argument therefore is that if transition is complete , then the U .S military should withdraw from Iraq , and if transfer of power to the people is made through popular elections , then the transition is complete . In April 6 , 2005 , a government was elected in Iraq through popular voting with Ibrahim al-Jaafari and Jalal Talabani being democratically voted as Prime Minister and President respectively . Thus the transfer of power to the people has been made through popular elections . Following the hypothetical syllogism , this means that the U .S . military should withdraw from Iraq
In summary , we have clearly established that the U .S . military should finally pull out from Iraqi soil
